Refund Policy
Last updated: July 2026
Everything sold here is an instant-download digital product. The moment you buy, you get the files. Because a download can’t be un-sent or returned, all sales are final. This is the standard policy across the digital music-tools industry, and it’s what keeps these priced at $14–$37 instead of $200+. By completing your purchase, you agree to everything on this page.
What this covers
This policy applies to every product sold on this site, including but not limited to: the Ultimate Master Chain and each individual chain (Waves, Ableton, Logic, iZotope Ozone, Plugin Alliance), the Complete Mastering Toolkit (Loud & Clean, Gold Standard, and all PDF/Word/Notion materials), Artist OS, the 90-Day Framework, the Essential Reading List, and any guide, template, preset, or bonus delivered digitally.
Compatibility is your responsibility
Each chain has clear requirements, listed on the product page and in the FAQ before you buy:
- Waves chain — works in any DAW, but you must own the listed Waves plugins.
- iZotope Ozone chain — works in any DAW, but you must own iZotope Ozone (9, 10, 11, or 12).
- Ableton chain — runs in Ableton Live only. Stock plugins, nothing extra.
- Logic chain — runs in Logic Pro only. Stock plugins, nothing extra.
- Plugin Alliance chain — runs in Ableton Live and Logic Pro, and requires the listed Plugin Alliance plugins (a Core or PRO subscription).
Confirming that you own the required DAW and plugins before buying is on you. Not owning a required plugin or using an unsupported DAW is not a defect and is not grounds for a refund — the requirements are disclosed up front. If you’re not sure, email me before you buy and I’ll tell you straight whether it’ll work for your setup.
Delivery & access
Your products are delivered two ways the instant you pay: on the thank-you page (with download and access links) and by email to the address you used at checkout. Accessing either one — opening the page, clicking a link, or opening the email — constitutes delivery and acceptance of this policy. Once files or access have been delivered, they remain in your possession, which is exactly why they can’t be returned.
Access-based products
Anything delivered by Notion duplication, a shared link, or granted access — Artist OS, the Toolkit’s Notion pages, the Reading List, any template — is non-refundable once access is granted, because that access cannot be revoked once you’ve copied or opened it.
Didn’t get your files?
That’s the one thing I’ll always fix. If your downloads didn’t arrive, check your spam and promotions folders first (Gmail and Verizon love to hide them), then email me at contact@charliecrown.com and I’ll resend through another channel — a different email, a direct link, whatever it takes. A delivery problem is never a reason to be left without your product. So it’s never a reason for a chargeback either — just tell me.
The only exceptions
I’ll make it right if something is genuinely broken. You’re covered for a replacement — or a refund if a replacement isn’t possible — if:
- A file is corrupted or won’t open.
- You received the wrong product due to an error on my end.
- A download link is broken and I genuinely can’t get it to you.
Email me with your order email and what went wrong. I read every message myself and I’ll fix it the same day.
What’s not covered
“I changed my mind,” “it’s not what I expected,” “I don’t own the plugins,” “I use a different DAW,” or “I already downloaded everything but want my money back” — none of those are refundable, for the same reason a store can’t take back an opened, copied file. The product page, the FAQ, and this policy tell you exactly what you’re getting and what you need before you buy. Know what you’re buying.
I’d rather help than refund
If you’re stuck getting a chain to work, email me before you ask for anything else. I’d rather spend five minutes helping you get results — or, if there’s a real gap for your setup, look at building something that fits — than process a refund. The goal is for you to actually use this stuff.
Chargebacks
Email me first — always. Filing a chargeback on a delivered digital product, when the policy and requirements were disclosed at checkout, is taking the work for free. I contest every dispute on delivered goods with the full record: your order, the thank-you-page delivery, email and access logs, and this policy that you agreed to. If something’s actually wrong, I’ll fix it faster than your bank can. I’m one person — talk to me.
Payment processing
Stripe handles all payment processing. In the rare case I issue a refund for one of the exceptions above, Stripe credits your original payment method automatically — no extra steps from you.
